How to Build a Personal Brand Website in Under 10 Minutes
March 18, 2026 5 min readBy CvWebify Team
Your personal brand isn't your logo. It's what people find when they Google you. A website lets you own that first impression instead of leaving it to LinkedIn's algorithm.
What a great personal site does
- Ranks for your name on Google in 2–4 weeks.
- Consolidates your story — bio, projects, contact, links — in one shareable URL.
- Looks intentional. Recruiters notice candidates who invest in themselves.
The 10-minute launch checklist
- Upload your resume PDF — your site builder extracts everything automatically.
- Pick a template that matches your industry (clean for finance, bold for design).
- Write a one-line headline people will remember. ("Product designer turning research into revenue.")
- Add a recent photo — friendly, eye contact, neutral background.
- List 3–5 projects with one outcome each. Skip the rest.
- Connect your LinkedIn, GitHub, and email.
- Choose a username that matches your name.
- Publish. Share the link in your LinkedIn headline today.
What to skip on v1
- Don't write a 2,000-word "About Me." Two paragraphs is enough.
- Don't add a blog unless you'll actually post. An empty blog hurts credibility.
- Don't pick a custom domain on day one. Validate the content first.
What to add in week 2
- A custom domain (
yourname.comfor ~$12/year). - One case study with metrics: situation → action → result.
- A short "Now" section: what you're focused on this quarter.
The best personal sites feel like a confident handshake. Concise, warm, and quietly competent.
